Recently, I’ve initiated a new practice that has proven to be not only enjoyable but also surprisingly therapeutic. I’ve begun pulling out some of my cherished comic books from childhood and engaging in the process of redrawing their covers. This practice serves a dual purpose for me: firstly, it allows me to reconnect with a beloved childhood media that holds a special place in my heart, evoking nostalgia and fond memories. Secondly, it provides me with a unique opportunity to explore whether I might derive fulfillment from pursuing this type of creative process more seriously.
As I apply my own interpretation to recreate these images it is both stimulating and emotionally rewarding. It’s a process that requires patience, attention to detail, and a willingness to experiment and refine these specific skills.
As I continue to redraw these comic book covers, I’m not only reconnecting with my childhood passions but also uncovering new facets of my own potential. It’s a journey of exploration and rediscovery that I’m excited to continue, knowing that it brings me joy.
